Medicine took so much out of me

whenever I "complain" about work, everybody always replies with, 

"Everybody works, everybody struggles from work." 

just tell me, 

does your work mean still up at 1 am then apologise to the family that their spouse/child/parent are gone? 

does your work mean intubating 3 year old kid just to keep him alive? 

does your work mean breaking the bad news to the family knowing that there's nothing you could do? 

does your work make you constantly blaming yourself for every lives you couldn't save? 

medicine took so much out of me, 

this time it took my bestfriend too.
